this could be of use and not many people know this, but Amazon has a price drop policy. If they lower the price on something that youve purchased within the past 30 days, theyll issue a credit (although you have to ask for it).

If you want to check if any of your purchases are eligible for a refund, just follow these simple steps:

    1. Visit Your Account and look at all invoices from the past thirty days.

    2. Click on the item names to pull up the current item description/price and compare to the price that you paid.

    3. If you paid more than the current price, copy down the order number and go to the Return and Refunds Contact Form page.

    4. Select Refund Inquiry as your subject, and check off the order(s) of interest. If you dont see the order in question listed, enter the order number in the Other field.

    5. State in the comments that the price dropped.

    regards,
    gar

Ah nice one OP, £4.50 richer.

Off topic; it's amazing just how many of amazon's prices actually go up in their january sale...

I made use of this facility at the weekend, emailed them Saturday evening and they responded Sunday morning. I had placed the order over a month ago but it was dispatched and charged for less than 2 weeks ago so i was unsure which date they would acknowledge. The mail confirmed
We are only able to adjust the price of an order in instances where
less than thirty days have passed between the date on which an order
was dispatched and the time that an item is reduced in price on our
    site.
The refund came through today despite the discount only lasting for the weekend. €21.41 richer :D
Thanks a lot op, very helpful post.

Yes, noticed that, I placed 3 orders in Nov and Dec for over £200 when I check the prices 90% of them are gone up.

Some CD's are down but only a few cents, looks like I got my January sales last year.

    Regards
