ok so i'm looking for a keyboard, no fancy sounds or freaky features, preferably just a fairly decent piano tone and can maybe be amped (not limited to onboard speakers)
a case of going second hand ?in order not to break the bank, budget 300.

For your budget I'd imagine one of the Yamaha PSR range would do the trick.

Be sure to get one with velocity (touch) sensitivity - very important once you become familiar with playing the instrument.

Something like this will fit your budget.

Right Click? On a mac?? :p

But I know what you mean and it still links back to this thread.

Glad to hear the GW-7 is working out for you. Roland have some nice patches. And plenty of other cool bits and pieces onboard to waste some hours!

If you get the link working just PM me with it.

    3 x 300 = 900. (1)

Just multiply your current budget by 3 to get the desired budget. (1)

I think -=al=- got his GW-7 substantially less than €900. (still higher than the €300 budget you have - but if you can stretch to it then it worth considering)

    Check here.

If your looking for a good piano sound then be sure not to judge any keyboard by its built in speakers - always test with an amp wherever possible - especially if you plan to do any recording. Stroll into Music Maker and Waltons, etc and have a good listen to all the sounds and deterimine what you think is best - then check the price on the internet!

Usually they'll plug it in if you ask. They do every time I ask.
