I got a Wii in GAME in the Square, Tallaght. Was in to buy Tiger Woods 2007 and just asked if they had one and he said yeah no bother, do you want it now!! This was around 230pm, only back at my computer now. Good Luck.

(PS I was also told by phone last night by the same store not to expect them till mid January)

Whats goin on with these game shops? Why dont they know when they will be reicivin in more wiis. I rang Gamestop everyday in newbridge only to be told to ring back tommorrow. Then when I did ring back they said that they had got them in but they had all been sold:mad: Then my sister wandered into symths in jervis the friday before xmas, and i had been told on the phone that they had none, but she was able to buy one. I know ill be shopping on the net from now on.

Its a clever policy really. None of them want crowds and they know they will sell them all anyway. So they choose not to say when they'll have them, knowing they can sell to lucky people like the OP without having to turn away unhappy queuers when they sell out of the limited deliveries.

All the shops seem to have been instructed to do it.

GAME in the ilac centre told me that GAME on henry street has a few left...this was at 5.30 today but they were closin up when I got around...so maybe early tomorrow?? You should also try the argos website stock checker thing - one of my mates bagged a wii yesterday (Liffey valley although im not that sure)

Argos will reserve stuff for you for something like 24hrs if they have in stock and you just pay when picking it up

LMAO! The paranoia that has set in is hilarious! The staff honestly don't know! That is all there is to it. No clever scheming. They find out as soon as it shows up. They can't control the delivery companies.

That's in the States. Trust me, it is not like that in Ireland. Ask anyone working in a game shop. And that is an unofficial source, as they say in the post and they are unable to change the status to anything else as they have no hard evidence, only one poorly formed email to back up those claims.

EDIT: What do PS3s have to do with Wiis?
