Picture freezing

    I'm been having some picture freezing/stalling problems over last couple of weeks. Seems to happen mostly when I change channel. the picture stalls/ freeze's for a few seconds/mins. Any ideas what could be causing this and what the fix is. Its a sky+ box, about 1 year old and was working fine up until about 2 weeks ago.

    Dish Alignment? Check signal quality & Level in Services (though that is only default transponder).

    I'm no expert but a similar thing happened on my Sky + recently. (Mine is Pace brand, only a few weeks old).
    In my case I found that I had stacked up a bunch of video tapes which were pressing up against the side of the Sky + box and blocking some air slots/vents. That side of the box was very hot. I moved the tapes and no problems since. This is despite the fact that the Sky + box has air vents on top, bottom, both sides etc so I was only blocking a small proportion of the vents. It seems to run very hot and needs unobstructed airflow.
    I also set the "instant rewind" to off to give the hard disk a break. I don't really know if that does any good or not.
