Trojan adventures - need prof. advice

I recently had a Trojan that installed a .dll on my computer. The trial version of Trojan Remover detected the culprit key (which was hidden). I then did a manual search for the key through regedit and removed it. However, only two days later, the Trojan Remover Scan (a Fast scan that automatically launches on start-up) detected the same key again, so there must still have been some traces left.

If this is of help, here is the name of the key:
    WRLogonNTF.dll

An IT expert has just advised me to install a-squared (a freeware for anti-malware, trojan detection, etc.). This has detected nothing at all apart from a tracking cookie. (I've also read that some Trojans cannot be removed with this software, but having tried Trojan Remover and Trojan Hunter, well, are there any other good ones out there? By the way, Hijack This didn't detect anything either the first time).

In short, looks like my system is Trojan-free, but I am still not wholly convinced. I've a sneaking suspicion something is not quite right (last night for example my cursor kept blinking and windows was slow to start -- which is a tell-tale sign something evil is still lurking; this is what happened a week ago before I got rid of (I think!) of the key. Are there remainders of the key I need to remove??

By the way, not even reformatting Windows (3 times) or doing several registry cleans failed to remove the Trojan, just to prove how stubborn it was!!...
and after I actually removed it, manually, I got sent a spam e-mail that contained a link to a photo... which was... a Trojan... luckily Trojan Remover caught it for me!

WRLogonNTF.dll is part of Webroot Sweeper according to google. Have you tried AVG Anti-Spyware? It works pretty well as had detected a few things that Spybot-Search and Destroy has not.

Well, that's weird... I do have Hitman Pro installed, which also has webroot spy sweeper, I think.... is it possible this could also be a Trojan???

No, I haven't tried AVG, will do so now. Is it advisable to uninstall Hitman first?

... I've just read on some forums (having google this .dll) that other users have had similar problems... one person said the computer was opening programs on its own for ex....
