Philips HDTV....

Lads I know that there has been a million questions about this but here's another. Girlfriend got a Philips HDTV today. Has the component inputs so I plugged them all in. Changed the settings on the XBox to 720p and it doesn't look as clear as the 480p. The manual says to take advantage of the HD functions you have to attach via HDMI (which I know the 360 doesn't have). Any ideas??

Has the cable that goes into the xbox at the back been put to HDTV?

I'd say thats your problem alright. You can set the cable to HD or normal tv connection at its base.

Cheers for the responses lad:) I did have it set to HDTV alright. Played a game trailer that I had from Marketplace and it looked really fuzzy and bad. Just plaed COD 3 though and it looked amazing so maybe it was just in my head. Now I'll have to get one myself!

You may have downloaded the 480p version of the trailer??

If it was "just in your head" then something isn't right.

The difference in quality from standard res too 720p is impossible not to notice.
