Connecting IPod to Car Stereo

    Bought someone a 30gb Ipod Video and a new car stereo for xmas. Tried connecting the Ipod through the USB on the front of the stereo but i just keep getting the "Do Not Disconnect" message with the big red X on the Ipod itself. The stereo has a message on it saying "USB drive" so its found the ipod.

    Im using the connection that you use to put songs onto the ipod, is that the right one to use?
