    Best moments:

    Sitting around with family;
    My young nephews excitement at the whole event;
    Having some good food;
    Willy Wonka and It's a Wonderful life;
    Slowly getting drunk.

    Worst moments:

    The Eastenders Christmas Special;
    A horrendous Sax solo in the middle an rock version of 'Santa Clause is Coming to Town' on Christmas CD my sister made;
    Receiving 9 pairs of socks :)

    All in all it's been a good one!

    I've eaten so much chocolate and turkey that I don't know whether or not I'm going to make it through the night, so that would be one of the best parts. Christmas eve pints etc with a huge mob of my friends was also great. The family stuff was grand too.

    Bad parts
    • My selection box came sans curly wurly.

    All in all, quite a successful Christmas.

    Hummmm, how come this was this moved to the Gift, Festivity & Party Ideas forum?

    Does seem a bit clicker happy, it's not a fesitivity "idea"

    Moved from AH.
    Redirect remains open-so it'll get best of both worlds.
    I moved it for "idea(s)" for next year.
    Thank you.

    Anyway this forum is not just for ideas. Discussion/rants/whatever of any holidays/festivities are allowed here since it has been happening since Halloween the forum was made.

    My day is only half over, just had a not so traditional dinner. Chicken tenders, potato wedges, corn and ice cream. :)

    AAAAAAAAAARG I haven't opened my selection box yet and the curly wurly is the best part....if mine is without the said chocolate bar then Christmas is ruined!

    Best bit: Bread sauce!
    Worst bit: wasn't cold enough.

    hmmm... Best Part:
    Managing to sleep on the floor of my office for a good chunk of the day as I couldn't go home due to family complications. Sleeping made the time go faster... I even used an old phone book as a pillow which was surprisingly successful.

    Worst Part:
    The Doctor Who Christmas Special was a bit rubbish, wasn't it?

    Best part;
    BSG s2 on dvd.
    Nearly the entire run of the Ultimates graphic novels.
    The ham.
    The pork, chesnut and apple stuffing.
    Making friends with some nice neighbours.

    Worst part;
    Not getting home to family.
    Jerk neighbours being incredibly loud so I couldn't sleep in my bedroom.

    **Best**

    Being able to spend the holiday with family and a special loved one.

    **Worst**

    Realizing it's all going to end soon and I'll be back in school =(

    ~edit~

    Hey OP!! You and I have a similar signature! ;)

    Thought I'd start with

    Worst:

    Breaking my ankle and spending hours at A + E on Christmas Eve.
    Dependent on other people and not able to do much for myself.
    Having to cancel family holiday to Florida, we were due to go early Feb but I'll still be in a cast.
    Not able to go to the sales, go out with friends but hopefully in the next few weeks that will get easier.

    Best;

    Having hubby and boys around, who've been brilliant looking after me without any moaning, not even when the holiday was cancelled.
    They've just realised how much I've been doing for them over the years.
    Not in pain.
