Looks good value at €1,000. Make a great starter classic for someone.

One jammer rusting outside my house is enough though.

MGB Gt's are 10 a penny - they just don't do it for me and didn't even when new. Even the roadster is a bit old hat at this stage. People's tastes in classic cars has become much more sophisticated - the poor MGB has got left behind to some degree. :(

well, you would be lucky to find a proper MGB roadster for under 9 or 10 grand!!! This does not look to me like a sign of a soft market or disinterest...

Demand is strong for good ole' British motoring and the MGB can hold its part in modern traffic, are fantastically reliable when properly sorted out and maintained. The support network and parts availability are second to none! Prices for sound cars (particularly the rare rustfree ones) are actually going up and professionals seize the opportunity with more and more "remanufactured" MGBs hiting the showrooms.

Yet, the rust buckets and the to-be-restored are plenty, I agree, and they clog all small ads.

And as far as motoring experiences go, not much beats driving a British sports car on the lovely Irish coastal roads on a sunny day!!!! :)

Steven, if the car is really not worse than you describe it, given that it is a rare Jubilee version, it should fly through your door for that money!!!

Thats what I thought, had a few calls, but nobody botthered too have a look,Once you say rust most people run for the hills......I woundnt mind if it was a complete rust bucket, but it had all new wings front and rear new doors etc sure the price for them would nearly cost the price of the car I guess it will just have to sit there.
