Zelda Help [may have spoilers]

hi,

can anyone help me, im in the dungeon when link first changes to a wolf and i need to pull down the chain so the door can open and fill the room with water so i can swim out of the area. but everytime i try and bite/grab the chain nothing happens, i cant seem to position myself in the right place, its driving me nuts. i walk slowly under it, run fast by it, every option i can think of but no avail

is there anything trick to it or should i just give up?????

Do you have Z-targeting set to hold or just press?
If it's set to hold you may be letting go of it when using the bite command and that could be the reason you're missing it.But other than that I'm confused as there is no trick to this part.I'm heading for the fifth dungeon now so that's quite far back on terms of remembering it.But I got out of that place in less than 20 minutes with no problems.Just keep at it.
