One Way Flights US

I don't know if anyone has noticed but mostly when you hit the Aer Lingus site these days the site is the US version. If you book one way flights from America and add a one way from dublin later the flights can be cheaper on the US - IE leg.

Would doing this cause a problem with immigration if they see you go outbound to the US on a one way ticket - there would be no system link to your other one way ticket ?

With the advance information they send would a single male travelling on a one way ticket warrant a pull ? or wold simply showing them the return ( one way ) ticket solve it ?

I didnt know you could book in US dollars on EI without a U.S address.
But if you can,go and do it and report back.

As for INS, it should be ok once you have a ticket stating you are going back within the 90 days you're allowed.

It's rare enough ime that you are asked to show your return ticket anyway.

Possibly but you will have a return home one way ticket for within the 90 days so thats that answered if they ask.

Your browser settings must be down as English (US) or something. The green slip (I-94) you will have to fill out pre-boarding for the flight in Dublin will have your flight number on there. Showing them the one way for the return leg should be fine as long as it is within the 90 day period.

Have booked one way return from Chicago in January and had no problems with the site - in fact they offered me the choice of having my card debited in Euro or USD so they detected my Irish card. Have saved €60 and will take my chances with immigration!

I assume anyone can simply change the site location from the drop down menu at the top.

    Thanks.

Thanks for that, been wrecking my head for ages trying to work out why I kept getting the US default every time I checked the site.
