I'll be quite honest here. It has been at least 2 years since I was going out with a girl. Issues to do with my family and other things got in the way. I had chatted to girls in between the time period but it never went further.

I used to be overweight but gradually lost all that, but I do feel like I have lost confidence in myself

However over the past 6 months I started chatting to this girl over a period of time, we got each others emails and numbers and I got to know her and we sometimes meet up but with other people there, I have started to have feelings for her and like to listen to her all the time but the one thing I'm not too sure of is if she has the same feelings towards me. I seem very blind towards what signs women have unless they are quite blatant and obvious.

I do have the utmost respect for women and I don;t like to make a girl feel like im imposing on her. Could this be the problem?

Find a reason to get her and you alone, so you can talk. "I have some tickets to a gallery opening and I wonder if you would come along".

I agree with Victor, try to spend time with her, the better friends you are, the higher the chances that the topic will come up.

Listen to Victor. Sounds like a plan.
