URGENT : Ryanair carry-on baggage

    When I fly with Aer Lingus they don't count laptops as hand luggage which allows you to get on the place with both an overnight bag and a laptop.

    Does anyone know if Ryanair work with the same policy?

    Tomorrow will I be able to check in 1 bag and get on the place with another plus my laptop ?

    No is the quick answer.

    Laptop bag will count as your one carryon item.

    Aer Lingus will also be phasing this in in the new year.

    Thanks for that. I'm already at the stupid 15kg limit what with Xmas presents for everyone and I have a model airplane for my dad that I was hoping to carry on.

    I just need to find a paper bag big enough for me to be able to put the place and my laptop into....

    Make sure you don't wrap any presents you plan to take as carry-on luggage. DAA are advising that security can (and will) open wrapped gifts if they need to conduct a bag search.
