The Ha'penny Bridge and Millennium Bridge from the other night. I played with the levels on the Ha'penny Bridge photo, but at the cost of losing the atmosphere of the fog. The Millennium Bridge photo is essentially as it came out of the camera. Suggestions for photoshoppery?

I like the colours and lighting of them both - the 2nd looks better imo. Did you use a tripod for these ? There seems to be a bit of camera shake going on specially in the first.

I used a (cheapo) tripod for both, but no mirror lockup or remote release.

I really like the 2nd one

There's nothing in the first one that grabs my attention, a bit dark and blurry.

Second one is good, though. The blue neon around the building adds a nice effect, and the guy standing on the left makes it quite interesting. I like the perspective too, where the bridge is just slightly faded in the fog as it crosses the river. Good job.

Not sure what model camera you use but it might be worth trying the cameras self timer for night time shots. I know what you mean about cheapo tripods though - the one I have is next to useless. I also find that if you shoot in raw the sharpening tools are a lot more effective than sharpening in photoshop on jpegs.

#2 looks a little shakey and underexposed to my untutored eye, #1 is pretty darn spiffy.
