    Hi Guys,

Just a quick question for you. I have a 01 Polo hatchback 1.0 Litre. The question is basically this... does anybody know what is the regular distance you can drive on the reserve tank? Sorry if it sounds stupid but I know absolutley nothing about the inner workings of cars :)

    Thanks

Maybe 60 miles if you are lucky.

It all depends on the driving conditions. In a typical motorway situation the fuel will go further than if you were stuck in heavy city traffic. You should always have enough to get to the next filling station. It's a good idea to hide a €10 note somewhere in the car - just in case you find your fuel running out and your wallet at home...............

not a great idea to drive on the reserve, dirt in the bottom of the tank will mess up engine.
