I have been offered a 2000 American Strat body(how can I tell?) that is loaded with David Gilmore EMG-DG20's. From the pics everything seems fine and the body is in good condition. The bridge pup cavity has been routed to fit a humbucker but obviously when the guard is on you don't see this. There is also an extra hole or two. Anyway I have been offered this for $301 as a second chance buyer. Postage would be $40 so were talking about €265.

Is it worth it or not? It would have to be a really good deal now to risk upsetting the other half(again) :(

I have a 2000 American Strat and the body has the same route (HSH) and same neck pocket shape, so it looks genuine enough to me. MIM and MIJ have SSS routes unless I'm mistaken. Dunno if I'd pay €265 for it though, given all the extra holes.

Just be careful with the second chance offer thing though, if you didn't receive it through My Messages in your ebay profile then walk away, there are a lot of folks getting bogus second chance offers through email only.

Yeah your right Doc. I sent a copy of the mail to Ebay just before I posted this thread and it seems to be dodgy. Nothing in my Ebay email either.

    Saved! :p

    Bastards.

Do you have the IP address of the sender of the mail? If you can get into the header of the mail you should see it. Send that to ebay too.

J-zilla. I claim this to be his new name. Or else, I will petition Ibanez to rename their J-Customs :D
