Tribeca software issue

About half an hour ago, for no apparent reason, my VC client just started to act all weird and then it froze completely. I terminated the program, restarted it and it happened again. After doing this another 2 or 3 times I uninstalled the client, downloaded it and installed it and when I ran the client it was still freexing on me. I couldn't talk to a manager because the program kept freezing.

It must have just been me since I was playing two SNGs and I got a periodic glimpse into them each time I started the program and play seemed to have continued normally without me.

Has this ever happened to anyone?

Never happened to me. I've been playing all night and the games are running as usual. Install anything new recently on your computer?

Could be some kind of memory/cache related issue. Try a cold re-boot rather than just uninstalling and reinstalling the client.

I had this problem on ppp (I think this is tribeca isn't it?), it was caused by an automatic windows update, try disabling windows firewall and trying again

Seriously do not do this. If the firewall was causing the problem you wouldn't get in to tribecca at all and turning it off is opening your PC to whole different world of hurt. It does sound like a PC problem though as others have said and not a tribecca thing. Do other poker sites work o.k.?

The issue I had was that windows update updated something to do with Windows Firewall, and this conflicted with the firewall I had installed (Norton), the reason it was fine was that Norton was susposed to stop Windows FW from working, which it did for a couple of seconds, it only happened on ppp cause that used some weird port (sorry don't know which here), other poker sites worked fine for me, but most of those were java based

That's the best kind of problem :)

If you want to find out what was happening, click start, then run, enter eventvwr and click ok. Take a look to see if there's any errors around the time you expierenced the problem
