Help me fix my computer

    I have a computer with windows 98 on but every time i turn it on it starts in ms dos, ive tried everything to get into windows but it wont work and i dont have a windows cd if anyone could help i would be grateful

    You sure windows will actually work??

    'win.exe' used to work back in the day, try that. You may need to be in the C:\Windows directory for it to work, if not ou need the CD.

    if it does edit your auteoexec.bat file to include that command at the end.

    thanks for all ur help but it didnt work, it said himem.sys is missing so i tried making a bootdisk and that didnt work either

    I think you need to get the Windows 98 CD, solution here. Maybe a bootdisk will work also, with the command;

    copy himem.sys c:\
