Theres about a jabillion posts on this if youd searched, but to answer your question, yes, its worth it. Monitor is almost as good as a HDTV, and the diff between sdtv and pc monitor resolution is HUGE.

I have a 17 inch LCD and for me it was worth it, even though I had a 32 inch CRT in the sitting room.

Once you dip your toe in the high def/res world with a monitor, you'll increasingly want to bankrupt yourself by paying a silly price for a big screen HD tv....

<small violin plays in the back (in Dolby 7.1 of course) ;) )

I use a 17" lcd monitor myself and have the 32" sdtv widescreen crt in the living room which never has my 360 hooked upto it as the lcd monitor is so much better despite the smaller size.. me too wants a hdtv now but cant afford it..

my Dell Ultra Clear 17". As with you guys, it was far preferable to playing on the bigger CRT tv we have.

And then I was at a house party on Saturday night.

And they had a 360 on a 40" Sony Bravia.

It really ruined my buzz when I played my own wickle screen the next day.... :(
