How the hell did I ever manage to drink a whole half litre of orange in one go?

    Somehow I did.

God be with the days of Supercans.

Those shiney bits of metal sure were popular. This is the 3rd or 4th thread about supercans since the retro forum started.

Ah I loved these things .. it was no problem to drink one down in one go!

The contour bottles have alot to answers for, I blame them for the lose of vessel of goodness.

Yeah. I've always preferred cans to bottles. Plastic makes the drink taste funny (as opposed to a nice metallic tang), plus it keep them much cooler on hot days.

Even the name Super Can is cool.

Remember they came out around the time they tried to launch Sunkist in this country? Always preferred Club Orange. Although it is still better than the ghastliness that is Fanta. Does anybody actually like Fanta orange?

By Jebus, id forgotten all about Supercans til i saw this thread. I can only remember Club Orange in Supercans, were there others?

Blitz - you're spot on, Fanta is gick. I did like Finches Orange, think it would just edge out Club, tho Finches seems to have disappeared of the shelves too...

Sunkist was nice. I suppose we don't need Super Cans anymore, because the bottles are 500ml anyway.
And what happened to Canada Dry? That was lovely. Anyone know if you can still get it in Ireland?

500 ml? That's nothing. The bottles over here in Oz are 600ml.

It is much nicer out of a can though.

You can still get it on Irish airplanes. I used to rob cans of it from catering all the time when I worked as a dispatcher.

I was in Budapest last year (well 2005) and saw a supercan of coke. I squealed with excitement, bought it, and knocked it back. FAR FAR more satisfying than a 500ml bottle.

Anyone have any pics of these. I cant seem to recall them.

When I was in Japan this year though, I did have the pleasure of buying a 1litre can of Asahi Beer from a vending machine. Ah, the novelty of it!

    I loved Canda Dry.

Does anybody remember Jolt (it was a cola with extra caffeine or something to that effect).
