Quick Compatability Question

A quick question:

Is SATAII technology compatible with an Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe Motherboard?

I notice it says it supports SATA 300, but does that include SATAII drives?

Short answer...yes

Slightly longer answer...SATAII means the same as SATA 300

Haha, why didn't they just say that

I have a SATA drive in my computer now. The whole SATA II thing was throwing me.

Its backwards and forwards compatible, but the drive will only operate at the higher speeds if it supports it. So a sata drive will not run on a sata2 controller and full sata2 speeds, just sata speeds. Ya dig ?
