This was shot in colour, and then converted to black and white using Photoshop Elements 5.0.

I like a lot of things about it - I like the light and shade in it, and I like the almost three dimensional feel about it.

What I'm considering doing is reprocessing it to leave the landboarder in colour and the background in black and white - I know it's a fairly typical and common trick to do but I think it might work with this. The colour version isn't online at the moment though so I know that any opinion which would be coloured (sic) by seeing it will have to live with out.

I like it but those tent/things in the background seem very distracting.

BTW would love to see the color version.

Your wish is my command. This is the unprocessed version (before I even went at it with the scissors).

The tent like items in the background are powerkites. I just don't notice them but that could be because they tend to be every where when you shoot this type of sport.

Great shot, it looks far better in b&w. I think what you suggested with the colour could work well also :)

    I like the B&W too.
    Great moment nicely captured.
