Game pre-order: time to give up?

Got in the 2nd batch of Pre-orders in Game Henry Street (#101). They originally said I'd be ok for Xmas but now they're starting to change their tune and saying nothing is guaranteed etc. etc.

Does anyone have any inside news on if they will be able to fulfill anymore preorders before Xmas? Tried speaking to the staff at Game but they make it sound like the consoles are being delivered at night by ninjas and therefore never know when they are going to arrive.

Next time, I'm ordering from Smyths.

They usually do not know because a few console deliveries have been hijacked by gangsters...

Stay away from Symths, I know different shops around the country are different but both stores in Cork are absolutely useless.

Game in Cork are doing everything they can to honour all their pre-orders so I would say they will see you right if they can.
Game were really the only shop where the staff were honest.

Got a phone call this morning from Game Henry St.. Said they were getting consoles in and that it would be available for collection tomorrow.
They also said they would hold it for 48 hours only so some people might be in with a chance of swooping in later.
Off work on Friday so this is great timing.

well mad Moe, and the other posters, if ur waiting on Game Hnery St i wudnt bother, had a batch in today and they sold them all in 2hrs....so i chanced my arm in Dawson St around 7pm, and picked one up with a copy of Zelda, manager was saying they have a number left, but u would want to go first thing in the morning

I was waiting in gamestop henry st since 11.30 till around 5.30 only to get my name taken on a list... was gonna chance it and go over to dawson st when i was out of gamestop but just thought they wouldnt have any... im gutted now!!!

I just read another post there, apparently they are now sold out, they sold the remaining stock by 10 this morning

They sold them by 9.10 lol i went in to game dawson st at 9.20 and they were gone :mad: traveled all that way for nothing
