itunes double listing

    hi i just put all my tunes on onto itunes and they all came up as dubels how do i get rid of this any ideas ??

    When I have a relatively small amount of duplicate songs, I go into "View" and "show duplicates", then just delete the duplicates. Although if all of your songs are duplicated this will get pretty tedious. There's probably some fast way to do it for mass duplication.

    It happened me there once before. I have no advice for you on how to solve it. Im not too sure how I did it, I think it just righted itself. I'd be interested to know how to resolve this, just incase it happens again.

    Is there any chance they're different file formats - I know I tended to get duplicates alot and some of the files were m4a format and others were mp3, sort the tracks by file format and see if that's the case.
