Hope this card goes ahead. interesting novice hurdle. Unfortunately no sign of Catch me but aran concerto squares up against footy facts and le toscan, time or the talking to stop about this one. He won two moderate races very impressively and now steps up in class. We'll see how good he is now.

Interesting bumper too, mick the man v shirley casper, both are very well thought of.

I see mounthenry is back over hurdles too, had high hopes for this one as a novice chaser but that wasn't to be!

Footy Facts to beat Aran concerto and Le Toscan, no doubt!

Only over 2 miles, he's an out and out stayer and probably needs 3miles and fences.

The le toscan bubble was well and truly burst sunday.

Le Toscan supposedly finished distressed. He was never going to be up to the first two standard (but disappointing that he wasnt third) I still think the result of him beating LR is reliable, and of course Badgerlaw is doing his best to discredit the form as well.

Leading run was badly outpaced behind turtle dubh and if Meade runs him over 2 miles again he needs his head examined. 2/5 ish last time out was a nonsensical price. Agree that the form of his maiden win could not really have turned out worse but I still feel he's a far better horse than le toscan.

you might be right Colonel Sanders, but as you said, 2/5 was a ridiculous price, and chances are because of his bumper form and his trainer, he will be shorter than any form he has shown over hurdles merits.

Certainly wouldn't disagree with that to be honest. Very little value in backing Meade's horses lately because of the fire power he has.

I'd want him to be stepped up in distance and have another decent run before I'd back him again.

Just for the record I did not take the 2/5 last weekend!
