Here are some shots of berlin for c & c taken a couple of months ago, the first one is a nighttime cityscape. I will probably change the crop on to remove some of the hotel balcony but for now I am leaving it in intentionally. (If you click on the picture you get the higher resolution version)

The 2nd one is just a corridor that went on for ages and I thought it looked interesting. I tried doing a channel mixer b/w conversion of this and ended up scrapping it for the out of the camera version instead.

The third one is from inside the sony centre at night

Cool stuff. Its a great city for photography especially with the contrast between east and west. I love the telecom tower sunset shot. The lack of a crop doesn't bother me, infact it would push the mutli-coloured glass fronted building into the corner which wouldn't be nice.

I'm off to Berlin for New Years so I'm looking forward to getting some nice shots. Last time I was there it was -10 C and I only had a Nikon Coolpix 5200, lots of camera shake!

Thanks for checking - 5uspect you will have a blast there - new years in berlin should be fantastic.

PS I found a way to use the blank space at the foot of the first one without cropping

Nice work! Suprised that you got it so sharp at F4, but I guess it's so wide it's ok?

Really like the second version of the first pic!

nice work Morlar, was there myself during the summer, from the look of it I was in the same hotel just a few floors above you. You did good getting a nice image out of the window, From the height I was at the glare through the window was unreal. I do wish I had made more of my time there but it is a class city for photos and in general...

I know what you mean about the reflective glare - that was a pain, with the lights/tv off there was still a reflection due to the 2 panes of thick glass and the city lights & the angle. Thanks for checking.
