Any second batch pre-order holders got a call?

    I have a pre-order for the second batch in Smyths in Tallaght. I was hoping that they would be giving me a call today though. Has anyone got a call yet? I would try calling them but the last time I got no reply for half the day.

    one of the smyths (not sure where) were giving them to pre-orders tonight.
    my parents were there and they were handing them out, they were so sick that they were only to pre-orders lol.

    OK, I rang smyths in tallaght. I asked to speak to someone at the games counter and the girl I was talking to said that they were way too busy! She also said that I have until tomorrow (15th) night at 11pm to collect my second batch Wii :D

    I got mine this morning despite a cock-up in Smyths where they couldn't find the list that I was on. After about 40 minutes they eventually sold a Wii, Wii Play, Nunchuck and a classic controller!

    They had about 12-15 Wii Plays left, 2 nunchucks and about 4 or 5 classic controllers (well that was what was out on display).

    what exactly is a pre-order? is it a ticket? or do you just use a name?

    Because one of the guys in work said i could use his because he got a wii this morning. He's like 10th on the list in gamestop dun L.

    He says that they will ring him as soon as they get it and he will then ring me. I can collect it using his name. Is this correct? Or do i need him to get it and then i buy off him?

    Different stores used different methods for pre-orders.
    Ask him if he got a ticket or a receipt with any pre-order details on it.
    If he did either get it off him or get him to buy it and you pay him.

    gamestop arent operating 'preorders', as such, your friends name is probably on their "reserve" list...its as good as a preorder i think, or so they lead me to believe, but theres no receipt or anything. theyr gonna call everyone on their list when they get a delivery and hopefuly theyll hold them for us!
