BMW 318i 2000 - what to look out for

    Hi

    Thinking of buying from a dealer a BMW 318i - 2000 model. Full BMW service history.

    What should I look out for when buying?

    Does this car have a timing belt/chain?
    Will it have to be replaced?

    Anyone drive one of these, any comments??

    Want's the mileage?

    No timing belt AFAIK the timing chain should last the life of the engine.

    Suspension bushes give trouble, try to drive over bumpy roads and if theres knocking through the wheel or your can hear it , then they need replacement.

    If your buying from a BMW garage, they should give you a 12 month warranty

    but because the car is nearly 7 years old, it might be less.
