    Hi there,

I'm new to this forum, so please excuse any rookie mistakes!

Any way, there is a point top this thread....can anyone recommend a good book for me?

I generally like fiction with a mystery or spy plot.

    Thanks

You could try some classics in the form of Joseph Conrad's The Secret Agent or Edgar Allen Poe's mystery stories (Murder in the Rue Morgue, etc.).

I read one or two over the summer that may fit the bill.

The Camel Club - Daniel Baldacci (sp?)

    Panic - Jeff Abbott

I really enjoyed both of them.

    Maybe John le Carre?
The spy who came in from the cold is probably his best.
Or Michael Collins has some decent detective style fiction.
Reading a great book at the mo' A confederacy of dunces by John Kennedy Toole - a great laugh.
