I remember it too. It was a fizzy drink, was it alcohol? I thought it tasted like Champagne, not that I ever had drank any.

If it's the snowball I'm thinking of, then it's a Christmas drink made with Advocaat and lemonade, usually served with a maraschino cherry. My mum and I traditionally have one of these every Christmas day before lunch (we like to start early).

Ah snowball :D My grandad used to 'make a bar' - ie two little stools and and crate and give me and my brother a little drop of snowball when we were little - we thought we were cool :D I bought some a few years back but it was out of date and tasted horrible!

Snowball - the height of sophistication when girls wore miniskirts the first time round. The barman would put a measure of advocaat into a round wineglass then shake up a small bottle of lemonade with his thumb over the top (!) then jet the lemonade into the advocaat to make the fluffy white(ish) drink. Add a maraschino cherry - the almond flavour - and a straw. Even smarter than Babycham!

Madison is correct. It came in small green bottles and was an non-alcoholic apple drink. I remember it from the mid-eighties.

I remember it all right. Tasted sweet more than anything else. Slight Pear or apple sort of flavour and fizzy.
