Simple Speed Test site

    This looks like a good one. I get inconsistent results from the two Itish ones, but if you run this, say, three times (just refresh the page - it automatically does the check when you log onto the site) and divide your total results by three it will give you an average of your speed.

    I'd be intersted to know how others got on with different ISPs. I'm with NTL.

    56K connection obviously with Perlico ISP. That is accurate enough although we sometimes get slightly higher speeds.

    Irish Broadband Sucks and so does Eircom....and every other service provider in Ireland. We should really take a leaf out of the American's books and improve the speeds for cheaper prices!!

    Doesn't work for 56K properly or at least Perlico's as I tried using it before and the upload speed was higher than yours on 56K. Trust me, its not in reality.

    yep thats bang on, 1 meg= 100 k bytes 2 meg = 200 k bytes but with last mile half a meg= 15 to 20 k bytes.........:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:
