Removing Floppy Drive

    Hi All,

I've removed my floppy drive from my PC as I do not use it and it looks out of place on thr front of the PC. It's a home build.

I now want to remove the floppy drive link from the "My Computer" screen. How do I do this as there is no "delete" option.

    Cheers.

If you disable it in the BIOS it should go.

If that doesn't work, which didn't for me on my other pc.

Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management

Go to Device Manager in the drop down on the left. Go to Floppy Disk Drives, right click on the drive and select Disable.
