    :confused: Can anyone tell me if Convector Heaters are any good?
    Do they use up much electricity?
    My friend is living in a mobile home at the moment while her house is being built but it's freezing in there. So wanted to get her one for christmas

    Depends on the wattage of the heater.

    2kw =2000watts

    Considering the esb charge roughly 13c per Kw hour, to run a convector of 2kw would cost 26c per hour if it's constantly on if there is no stat.

    Convectors are good for fast heat, but it soon runs out if the place is not insulated well. ;)

    Also leads to dry stuffy rooms.
