DVD Burning Software

    I have a problem

Up to now I had been using Nero Vision Express 3 to convert and burn .avi files to full DVD files so I could play them on my DVD player at home. However, Nero has gone arse over tit for some reason and won't allow me to burn them anymore, stating that "Nero is unable to attach files"

So, I downloaded DeepBurner (freeware) and had a go at this. It burns the .avi file as an .avi file onto the DVD but this won't play on my DVD player as it doesn't have the DIVx codecs.

What is a man to do?? Does anyone have any idea what software I can use to do this??

All the films I downloaded are in .avi format and I need to get them converted.

    Thanks.

Most conversion software , for Avi to Dvd , are not usually worth the time & hassle of coverting for eg a 700 meg Avi 1.5hr movie onto a 4.7gb disc.

There are so many divx player dvd standalones out there that you can fit plenty of untouched 700meg AVI files onto and play them happily.

The Sony DVP-NS76H is what i use , and i'm yet to find a divx/avi/xvid file that it cannot play.

I know what you're saying but at the moment, I need one and a free one at that so I can save up my money to buy me a divx player!
