    Tell us more...

Which ones have you looked at?

Is portability an important consideration, or will they be staying in the one place?

Is it important that the speakers charge the iPod as well as play back the music or can they just be speakers?

I was looking at one by iluv but Spectra Ireland are the only stockists of the black one here. Was alo looking at the audio station from Logitech.

Actually, if it's any help to you, I'm pretty sure Harvey Norman (Electrical Dept.) stock the iLuv. I've heard nothing good about them though... Personally, for sound quality,- I'd sooner go for the Logitech.

This will probably be released too late, but while we're on the subject:

I've been at house parties a few times where people had these combined charger/speaker systems and the sound was bloody awful.

A few of my friends have those cables (they're in most music shops, HMV, virgin) that connect an iPod to a normal stereo system. I'd say that's the best option. They only cost 10 or 15 euro. And you could spend the rest on buying a good stand alone hi-fi.
