    hi,

i want to get a tv card for my pc so that i can play dvds in the pc but watch them on my tv.

is this possible with any tv or does it have to be a tv/monitor.
is it a scart connection or how does it work?

can anyone recommend a good (not too expensive one) that will allow me to do so and also to watch tv on my pc.

    thanks in advance.

If you want to play dvd on your pc and watch it on a tv set it's a graphics card with a tv output you need, alot of newer graphics cards have this and should work with most tv's, eg. through a scart-s-video adapter

To watch tv on a pc, you need a tv card, look at the hauppauge wintv products or something similar

Depending on TV card, it will have a s-video out to allow your PC display on the TV. Another pic, its the black one in the middle: Link

Peats have a TV-cards as low as 20 euro, also check komplett.
