    I have a sony tv I think it's 50mhz,I was wondering will it do for the xbox360? If not any suggestions on cheap tv's that would work grand with it?

    Some games are 60HZ only so you're going to run into problems.

    I have an old sony trinitron but its at least 10 years old, and the xbox looks rubbish on it. I also have a samsung lcd hd 26" an that is amazing but you'll be looking at EUR 800 at least for something similar.

    Every TV you get here will be 50hz and most will support 60hz. What TV do you have? I'd be very suprised if a Sony doesn't support 60hz.

    how do you check if its 50hz or 60hz ??

    It might say 50 on the back, but It'll probably support 60 anyway.

    Chances are it supports 60hz, I remember playing my Xbox at 60hz when it was first released on a Trinitron that was a few years old at the time.

    so rubbish you wouldn't notice the graphics on it?
