I left my PC on last night to download something.

I came down this morning and it was turned off and would not turn on. The PSU
light is on but there is no motherboard light at all. So I got a meter to check if
there was any power coming from the connectors from the PSU and there was
    none at all.

Does this mean my PSU is broke?

I bought it over a year ago on OCUK , any chance there might still be a warrenty
on it? Its this one here http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-006-HP

I have a small LAN coming up which is in a weeks time. This is just awful timing.

    Yes.
Contact OCUK to find out about warrenty. But its most lightly out of date.

Is there any manufacturer warranty on these things?

Surely they should last over a year?

Came back to this thread to update it with some good news.

I only seen that post now Anto. :( The thread kinda disappeared after a day or
two so I just forgot about it. I should really subscribe to my thread in the future.
Thanks for the offer, I really appreciate it.

Well I got in touch with HIPER over in the UK. They said to send it out to their
    address.

So I sent it out last Thursday. Just the PSU with the invoice from OCUK. I added
a letter saying that it needed to be replaced or repaired.

I got a package today from UPS. It was a brand new PSU, not even opened.
    It works like a charm.

If I'm ever building a new PC , ill definitely be getting a HIPER. Its a great PSU,
amazing looking and the customer support is great!
