    Thanks
    - a guy who didnt pre order and may have to go the xbox360 route for his gaming happiness this xmas.

15th of december next due date.

You'll be hard pushed to get one without a pre-order

There is nothing wrong with the "360 route"

ok, this prob means nothing, but walking by game henry st at about 7.45pm tonight, they were taking a *big* delivery in. cardboard boxes, each one about big enough to hold 3 wii's, i would guess.

now, it could be their toilet roll supplies getting delivered or something, but maybe it's worth giving them a call in the morning....

in other news, my gf -soon to be wife - was ignoring the wii, and in fact complaining about me keeping the wiimote with our remotes and various other things, until.....she had a go of the boxing

and now she is a woman possessed, i'm terrified!
*and* she was brilliant at, knockout in the first round of her first go.
she's put the real boxing on itv now and is shadow boxing the screen

    should i be worried?

Click to enlarge? Jesus, you must be scared... Rumours are of Gamestop having Wii's in next week any confirmation on that? Gettin back to the topic.

I think it's same as places gettin in consoles for launch, nothing confirmed till they get them.

(And the "click to enlarge" is part of the image from the site I got that from, not something I wrote! Good one though! :D)

I have no pre orders so I'm up sheet creek, I've heard rumours of a place or two not takin any preorders for next week..

Would it not do you better to try the whole show up and grab one technique but still just make a pre-order anyway?

No where will take Pre orders nemore.. Believe me I've tried. I'm something else in the works at the mo, hush hush, but ill let ye kno if it works out.
Hint: It involves a shotgun, a gaming shop, a terrified gaming shop employee, a wii, and a packet of skittles. (might need the sugar)

Sure Currys Liffey Valley is my local store and Game and Virgin had stopped taking pre-orders come November. Just bad luck I suppose that they didn't get their stock, we weren't to know:rolleyes:

What a knob that guy on wiffy.ie is and it is funny he is trying to defend himself saying he made a mistake and they are letting him away with it!! I was in Liffy Valley today and asked in Currys, and they are not very happy about some guy on the internet saying they have them. I just hope he gets banned from taht message board for being such a dick!

i'm in denmark and as far as i can make out there was 3,000 wiis in the country for launch day

I phoned Currys in Liffy Valley this morning as there were rumours of 7 available Wii on other boards, no joy. Also phoned Smyth's on the off chance that somebody didn't collect their pre-order, also no joy.

However the girl in Smyth's said that they will be getting in some on Weds or Thurs to fulfil the pre-order requests and then another delivery Christmas week to sell on a first come first severed basis.

    There maybe some hope yet.......

Liffey Valley. They were the only Smyths in Dublin that would answer the phone this morning when I tried.
