Sorry about the couple of bits of dirt in the photo ,it's a jpeg straight from camera.

Like it a lot, it will look super good when you clean it up. May I suggest saturating the colours and making a curves layer to silhouette the guys.

Really, really like it. Loving the silhouetting of the cranes and the people, gives it a very early morning feel.

I would say only minimal postprocessing neccessary there.

What exposure/lens/camera did you use for it?

Thanks Mloc ,the shot was taken with a 350D and a 70-200 F4.
    200mm F18 ,1/4000 sec ,aperture priority.

I like that, except the sun is too burnt out I think. It's a little too distracting. the figures are brilliantly captured as well as the cranes, but then i think it looses it's effect in the sky.

This is such a great photo..

Thanks for the comments ,I was thinking the same thing shrimp .
I have never tried vignetting yet ,so i think i will try it on this shot.

Is there a tool in photoshop that lets you add those little round coloured dots ,like lights reflecting in a lens ??

lens flare? Yes, but i think it'd ruin this shot

I'd have to agree with Shrimp, almost perfect shot but the sun is waaay to bright.
Just wondering would it work as a landscape style shot, but that would change it completely I suppose.

    Excellent picture

You could even do another one from it where you crop to have the spotters only too

Fabulous stuff. You should shoot/share more!

I think a square crop that takes a little off the bottom and goes to the lower section of the bright halo round the sun would work very well, keep the subtlety and stop the sun taking over the whole image. I'd be inclined to say - don't make the figures too black if you're doing curves, it looks great with the different shades of orange/brown as is.

Thanks for the comments ,I'd love to have more output to the forum ,it's taken me a while to try and blend the camera into what I do on a daily basis.

Construction and cameras don't really go hand in hand ,especially when you've got a hilti drill in one hand and a ladder in the other.

    Will try harder ,
    Happy christmas everyone !!
