Proxy settings

Ok I'm a little bit confused at the moment. Every half an hour or so my broadband seems to disconnect. To get it back connected I have to sign back into msn and troubleshoot. When troubleshooting it says I have problems with my firewall or proxy settings. I've turned off the firewall temporarily and that hasn't stopped it…

So I'm guessing its something to do with proxy settings or something like that. I've never used a proxy site on this computer or with this connection so I'm wondering does anyone have any idea what I need to adjust to stop this happening?
