Looking for cheap footswitches?

    Hi,
I'm wondering if anybody out there knows where I can get some decent footswitches on the cheapo. I need about 15 of them for a project (installing a Kaoss pad on my guitar and making all the buttons on the pad foot operated).

Maplin will do me at about €10 per switch, but I'm not about to spend €150 on footswitches, that would be insane.

I'll put up details of the project when it's done btw :)

Nice project right there. Shouldn't be too hard to do either. To be quite honest with you, depending what KAOSS you have then most of the buttons are mapped to CC Midi. A cheaper (and easier and more stable) solution would be to use the Behringer FCB 1010 which has 12 footswitches and 2 expression pedals for e166. Of course, it wouldn't be half as much fun :D. Alternatively, I'm sure it wouldn't be terribly hard to wire up some toggle and hold switches if you're just trying to do a proof of concept first.

There are 8 buttons on the front of the Kaoss Pad (KP2 for the record) for switching to preset effects, and another 4 for other functions.

I know the whole theory behind Midi but I don't know about the real capabilities. It's certainly a good idea what you're saying, and there is a MIDI IN on the Kaoss pad, but how do I know if the Behringer thing can be programmed to switch presets and stuff.

It's not a difficult project, just that I have to say 10 rounds of the rosary every time I'm about to drill a hole in the Telecaster :)
