    Are they reliable? Good service?

I'm about to buy a Canon Ixus 800 IS from them, along with a couple of Memory cards.

While I'm at it... anyone bought from gogo-power.co.uk? They seem to be really good for camera batteries!

I bought some stuff from them this time last year, and wasn't overly happy, Their notion of "in stock" actually means "we can probably get it from the supplier in a few days". My order ended up getting held up for over 2 weeks, and ended up being delivered after Christmas, because a hard drive I'd ordered wasn't being restocked (I think it was end of line, but there was no indication of this on the website). I eventually cancelled the hard drive and got them to ship the rest of the order.

Would I use them again? Maybe. They have quite good prices, can source quite a range of stuff, and they do actually respond to emails. But I wouldn't order if I needed the stuff in a hurry (like is the IXUS supposed to be sitting under a tree in 2 1/2 weeks time). My suggestion is to email them to see if they can guarantee turning your order round over the next couple of days. Also I can recommend TechnikDirekt, but again make sure the actually have the gear in stock before you order

    Thanks for that JMcL

I placed my order... it's not the end of the world if the item arrives after Chrimbo... it's for me :-)

They made me fax them a copy of my credit card! Thankfully I had access to a photocopier and a fax machine... do they do this with everyone? That might be an enormous inconvenience for many people!
