    HI THERE,

Can someone help, to get compatible ink cartridges for a HP PSC 221O as i know they are dear for each of them!

Last Oct 2005 i got a b/w & colour of INK4LESS & they lasted me til July of this year, but they closed up much to my dissapointment in finding affordable ink cartridges.

I relented to go to Cartridge World to get them as they were a lot dearer, but the other reason im pissed off with them  as my colour has run out a few weeks ago as i dont use it that often only for printin out documents.
But in the dialog box it shows the picture where it is only gone about 10% , yeah i know it shows 'actual amount/pic may vary' but when the cartridges ran out from INK4LESS the picture showed them empty!!

    THE PRICES QUOTED
    INK4LESS = E12.50 FOR ALL CARTRIDGES!THEN
    C/WORLD = 19-B/W, E26-COLOUR

    Thanks for any help,
As it would be much appreciated.

Try inkjet.ie or inkclub.ie maybe and see what prices you get.

The ink level indicators don't work great with aftermarket/remanufactured cartridges...

For the price of the C/World cartridges, you'd be better off buying the HP one's.

Not sure about those specific cartridges but for the ones I have used HP do two "sizes". They are both the same shell but one is less than 1/2 full, they of course charge a lot more for the full one.

Most of the re-made or spurious brand ones are filled up, ink is very cheap anyway so HP really have a cheek charging €10-20 more for 20c worth of extra ink.

If you are really that bothered about the price of the cartridges then you could always get a refill kit for about a fiver that will do 2-3 refills, it has ink and instructions on how to fill the carts. It is better to fill them up before they are completely empty, if the print head dries up it may not work again.

Hi john, i didnt realise that the printers were subsidised & they make the money on the cartridges at the start , but i do now!

The guy just confirmed my suspicion about C.World when he more or less said "Tuff luck" & when i mentioned about Epson printers+cartridges (as theyre shop is beside a marketplace that takes place on Sat. a person from Derry had said they get them cheap (99p) He fumed at me sayin i have that many Epson printers gettin fixed at moment.

But really i dont want to bore someone about these facts, as they pissed me off big time & sorry bout that.

If someone has any experience of usin them refill kits i would appreciate it, as you always go by word of mouth, as i've heard it can be messy, but people selling cartridges would be bias in sayin that!

    Thank you!

    Hi There,

I think I might have good news for you. Did you know that Ink4less have another shop in Derry. They are still running the same deal as before with all refills £ 10.00 stg. It is the same company as the one in Letterkenny.
    Their address is
    Ink4less
    Unit 7 Northside Village Centre
    Glengalliagh Road
    Derry.
    BT 48 8NN
    Tel 048 71353444

Hope this solves your problem. By the way, the refill kits are useless for HP 56 and 57.

Cheers for the info & address, as im only gettin back to normal AFAIK after xmas!
As i looked all over most of what i know of Derry, some passer-by had told me the owner had gone into the 'porn industry' whether to believe him or not-at the end of a long day, it made me laugh if only for a while.

I'll check it out when i get there. Thanks

i refilled the hp 56 and 57 cartridges with refill kits from InkTec kits for over 2 years with the orignal HP cartridges with no problems
    http://www.inktec.com/english/product/product_list.asp?s1=HP&mode=1&topcolor=2
DONT use the tesco refill kits as they clog up the print heads in the cartridge

Not far from the truth actually. There was another company in Derry Called 'Print for Less' and their owner has a couple of sex shops around the country, they are now closed, but Ink4less is definitely still open in the Northside Shopping Centre. You can find them if you go from B&Q at the Buncrana Rd roundabount and head for the foyle bridge. You will see the Northside Village Centre on the right hand side.

    LOL !
Yeah i could have heard that wrong that day i was there, i'll keep in mind those directions the next time im there as when i come out the UlsterBus depot-the first place you see across the road is NorthWest PC/Computers!

But i must check out these refills as well to see how much cheaper in the long run they'll be, as i said earlier you only go on word of mouth what they're like.

Thanks for the info, & will update.
