SKY Digital installation in Apartment Block?

Hi guys, I'm interested in getting Sky Digital installed but live in an apartment which won't allow a dish on the balcony/wall. I presume that we could get a dish (dishes) on the roof that could then be used by everyone. Am I wrong on this and am basically damned to NTL(!) or, if not, where should I start in getting this type of a sky installation? Do I have to have a certain number of commited sign-ups etc. ?
    Any help/tips much appreciated,
    JD.

Yes. There are such systems. You can have up to 4 satellites fed through them. (Though the Sky Digibox can't select 2,3 or4 )
