Just four days after the US.

When is Lost back on RTE?

Ugly Betty is on a Friday? Seems like it deserves better treatment than that, I saw the pilot and it was quite funny, and it's doing well in the US as far as I know.

I wonder if they'll show it a week ahead on E4, as Channel 4 seem to block out all their USA programming on Sky Ireland :(

Lists like this are handy though.

There are shows like Nip Tuck and Smallville that I watch as guilty pleasures, so I'd never go through the bother of hassling my cousins for them.

I don't see "Heroes" on that list - surely someone is going to show it? It's the biggest new US TV show after all. I've been awatching and could easily see it catching on over here too.

    See here!
BBC Two has acquired the UK terrestrial rights to Heroes, one of the break-out hits of the current US television season.

The critically acclaimed cult hit follows the story of people scattered around the world who wake up with superhuman powers - and gradually realise that the fate of mankind is in their hands.

The UK pay TV rights to the NBC show have already gone to Sci Fi, part of NBC Universal's global networks unit. Sci Fi will begin airing the show in January; BBC Two will start the terrestrial run after it airs on pay TV.

"We're really looking forward to bringing this innovative and compelling fantasy drama to a terrestrial television audience later next year," said BBC Two controller Roly Keating.

Sue Deeks, head of series programme acquisition at BBC Television, called Heroes an "an intriguing, intelligent and irresistible drama."

The whole "after it airs on pay TV" bit - do they mean it won't air on BBC2 until after the entire series airs on Sci Fi?

bah. The picture and sound quality on the Sci-Fi channel is horrible and they always put ad breaks in stupid places.

Classic Trek does look nice on it though for some reason.

it that not because its re-imagined classtic trek?
did they not re-make TOS with HD?

Ill never understand why tv shows do not air here at the same time as the US because what difference does it make to them?

I know I've asked in another thread but..

does anyone know where/when Friday Night Lights is on?

I'm on Sky Dig so hopefully no one says UTV or something :(

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news connundrum but..
NBC has picked up the critically acclaimed Friday Night Lights for a full season run.

The show is the second to be given a full season pickup by NBC despite worries about its ratings performance; last Friday, the network gave Studio 60 a full season order, citing its appeal to upscale households.

In Friday's case, however, NBC is looking to longer-term growth in the adults 18-49 and 18-34 demographics.

"We're proud to reward an authentic, poignant series like Friday Night Lights with a full-season order, demonstrating our confidence in it's appeal and quality," said NBC entertainment president Kevin Reilly. "Television critics and devoted fans have supported the show with well-deserved praise for the executive producers, writers and exceptionally talented cast."

The show has been picked up by ITV in the UK.
