Captivated by such beautiful scenery after a recent trip there.

Smashing work, love the colours in the last one. Well captured.

Have you got a bigger version of that last one? I lived in Prague for a year and that's an amazing shot. It's obviously something that everone photographs, but you seriously got it spot on there.

You could sell that to tourists on Charles Bridge and make a fortune :D

Second picture is great too, although I'd maybe crop out the two people sitting on the left. I think they draw a bit too much focus.

    Great shots!

Did you get the permit for the second one?

I was sneaking my camera around at 1600 trying to get some good shots!

No I didnt but you dont need it for in this part. Its the smaller areas where they have the various house shields etc located that you need the permit.

There was a really old lady in there giving verbal abuse to everyone saying not to take pics but people waited until she moved between rooms to take snaps. I didnt take any with flash so I got away with it but there was the odd numpty who did and got a severe tongue lashing!!

The last one reminds me of one I took in the same spot last year. Taken with a handheld point and shoot - forgive the blur!

Looks like a beautiful place, anyone I ask though says the locals are grumpy f***s? What did you think?

Beautiful is defo an understatement. Way too much to see in the time given so what an excuse to go back again (when a bit warmer).

There was the odd example of the locals being "grumpy" but the others make up for those few.

All the pics from this trip are handheld too as I dont have a travel tripod yet (I know Santa will be nice to me in NY) ;-))))

I was given several warnings in the castle for having me camera out in the first place!

    The locals are odd...

I didn't have any bad experiences, but one of my mates that was over on the trip (20 something odd of us) got the sh*te kicked out of him 2 nights in a row.

Just stay away from parks after dark, don't try buying 'anything' from the main street...

It's a lovely place though, we went about this time last year. There's some really nice small towns about an hour out of Prague too. If your going there for a while, I'd advise checking them out!

Oh...and there's a REALLY good vintage camera shop, if anyone's going I'll give ye directions. Buying Hasselblads for 100 quid? Yes sir!

It's an astonishingly beautiful place but yea, the I'd say the majority of 'locals' are of the grumpy chip-on-the-sholder variety. Although the city is overrun with tourists all year round, and you can see how that could get annoying. Just let them know you're not American or English and they usually warm up a bit ;)

And aside from some of them being 'grumpy', I never had any hassle. There's a lot of very nice Czech people too :)

They looked pretty real in my hand!

I got talking to a guy working there, supposedly, when decent priced DSLRs came to Prague, loads of people started to trade in their old kit. Kinda like ebay...

Oh man, I want one! :(
