    Hey

I am looking to treat the g/f with a trip to Venice for Valentines. I have sorted flights so just need the hotel now.

I have been looking at hotels around St Marks Square. I'm going from the 12/02 to the 15/2. A less than half decent hotel is costing me about 400 to 450 for around this area. Does anyone have a hotel they would recommend in this price bracket or does anyone know if i step back from this area a kilometer or two would i get a better class of hotel. I dont know any areas so i cannot locate myself. Would you recommend or suggest an area?

If St Marks square is the place to be i would really appreciate it if someone knew of a hotel that would be nice to stay in.

    Thanks a mill in advance

    regards

    Dave

    Thanks Dan

Hotel looks great i've tried booking it on a couple of websites but its booked out. I emailed the hotel and they are looking for €190 a night other web sites had it for €120. Where did you book?

I'll book it at the €190 if thats the rate everywhere but if i can save €210 then i'll be laughing.

    Thanks for your help.

We booked it through the trip advisor site as far as I can remember, it really is worth the money though, if I was going to venice again I wouldnt stay anywhere else tbh :)

    Cheers Dan

I've booked the hotel emailed them back card details. Appreciate your advise it looks in a savage spot.

Is there anything you recommend as a must do over there? We've a large budget as i want to make the most of it. Did you find it expensive over there?

What sort of cost are thing like beers, wines, sightseeing tours, and those condela boat trips(if thats how you spell it) and anything else you recommend doing.

Shes talked about going her for so long i want to make sure we make the most of it and she has a ball.

Really appreciate your help it will save me the loss of the first day where you spend it trying to find your feet

    Thanks
    Dave
