Geez--no wonder I was getting killed all the time!!..

Downloaded Fraps and saw I was only getting 15-20 FPS...crapiola or what!..

That was with all graphics settings on Medium and res at 1024x768.

Ended up having to change everything to Low, turn off dynamic lightening and aliasing (think thats what is's called - what does it do anyway?)

..and now i got a FPS of between 50-60....

Only a quick chance to play before I had to come to work, and things are quite a bit smoother - but the graphics do look a little sh*ttier.

BTW I have a Radeon 9600 - fairly low end at this stage I suppose...

Hey Santa!!...come 'ere and we have a little chat...:D

Put it on medium 1024 and textures and lighting on low.

Should be as good as it gets for your card.

    :(

    is there a noticeable difference for the diff res 1024 @ 60Hz and @ 70Hz ?

is this to do with the typr of monitor you have?

Yeah play around a bit with your settings and see whats the most FPS you can get and what settings you can get high.
Although with different maps and stuff it will vary =/

There is its just hidden in profiles with loads of settings to change, crap as you forget to change from bf2 profile to Other game profile. but there is a decent jump wehn certain settings are changed.

I read in pc gamer a while back that you'll get a better frame rate with the resolution set at 800x600 and anti aliasing set at a high setting. Supposed to look similar to the high resolution setting with better performance. I still have mine at the high setting though as graphics card well capable of it....
