I've had a much more bizarre problem.

I cannot connect to a large number of sites in the UK.

I cannot connect to my exchange server.

I cannot connect to my personal site.

Any traceroutes stop at ntlworld.ie and go no further.

So - I think they are partially down.

Routing problems in some places.... Total outages in others..... How many separate fibre optic lines do they have?

My digital went about 7.00pm - Dublin City as well. Third time since last Saturday. Getting rightly cheesed off. Can't play with my new HD telly now - waaah!

    It hasn't??? Oh dear...

I'll have to resort to using Showcenter then. :)

Seriously, I knew that before I purchased, Watty.

I only hope that they keep their word this time and launch HD in the second half of next year, as they said on SiliconRepublic a week or so ago.

Well Telewest:NTL --> Virgin Media in UK DOES have a handfull of HD.

But NTL here isn't NTL anymore. It is UPC. There is very little HD content even on Sky. No ITV, C4, Five. The BBC on trail only till April 2007.

You can easily be waiting till 2008 before there is much content, never mind the issue of UPC actually providing it, which requires a different set box.

I know, Watty, I know. That's why I referred to UPC's interview on Silicon Republic. http://www.siliconrepublic.com/news/news.nv?storyid=single7433
